Laptop repair

Broken screen? Keyboard gone? Fan sounds like a jet?

I repair it. Screens, keyboards, touchpads, charging jacks that have gotten loose, and fans that have gotten loud.

I also upgrade drives and memory — which is usually the cheapest way to make an older laptop feel new again. An SSD in a machine that's still on a spinning drive is the single biggest difference you can buy.

A loud fan usually means one of two things — it's packed with dust, or it's failing. Either way the machine is running hotter than it should, and that's worth dealing with before it cooks something expensive.

Bring it by and I'll tell you what it needs. If it isn't worth fixing, I'll tell you that too.
